After losing his first design job to the fallout of the dot-com bust in San Franciso, Andy Outis started a design studio, Shift 7, to be able to practice design during a time when few design jobs were available. Shift 7 designed identities, print collateral, websites, and motion graphics for small businesses, social organizations, artists and individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Andy grew up in Berkeley, California, a lively environment, which contributed to his fervent interest in politics, activism and hip hop culture. Andy is a graduate of the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and the MFA Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He lives in Brooklyn.
